We go again! Dricus Two! 

 

Dricus du Plessis has again defied the odds and the doubters. He does not have resources and training facilities enjoyed by his higher profile international opponents, but through pure guts, determination and grit he defended his has UFC title against Israel Adesanya and is now unbeaten in his last ten fights, including wins against Robert Whittaker, Sean Strickland and Izzy. Astonishing for a man who many opponents describe as having an “odd” fighting style.

 

Already former and current fighters are having a go, criticising the Champs unorthodox fighting style. Dricus laughs it all off and keeps on saying “BRING IT ON! JULLE WEET NIE WAT ONS WEET NIE!” It’s wonderful to see!

 

Those who attended the first Dricus breakfast in May, enjoyed a morning with a champion who has a great story to tell and who tells it with absolute aplomb. The stories (fighting in pub carparks as a youngster and the song which triggers his “killer” mode before each fight, are just two of them) and technical aspects when preparing for fights and analysing his opponents were fascinating. Now there is even more to chat about with MC for the morning Matthew Pearce, as we celebrate a born fighter and an ultimate South African winner.

Blue Security to patrol the hotel prescient from 06h00 to 10h30 on the morning of the breakfast, to ensure that all parked vehicles are monitored and are secure and that all clients entering and leaving the hotel do so safely.
